Phase 5: Integrating results, developing policy recommendation, involving stakeholders and disseminating research findings
The final project phase of the PIQUE project will be dedicated to integrating the findings of the previous project phases as well as to developing policy recommendations and to the dissemination of project results.
Integration of results, final analysis
The workpackage contains the integration and interpretation of the findings from the previous phases and workpackages, the interpretation the results with respect to the main hypothesis and research questions.
- The first main objective of this phase is to integrate the findings of the Phases 1 to 4, which makes it possible to answer the overarching research questions about the impact of liberalisation and privatisation on service quality, productivity and employment, with a special focus on the link between the quality of work and the quality of services.
Workshops with stakeholders and policy makers; policy recommendations
Inputs for policy-making and for the social dialogue will be developed on the basis of the integrated research findings. This will be done in close interaction with research users. For this purpose a minimum of three workshops will be organised: One workshop in Brussels, one in Düsseldorf, Germany, and one in Warsaw, Poland.
Policy recommendations will be drafted for the national/regional levels as well as the European level. These policy recommendations will be worked out for and by each country as well as for the European level (by an interdisciplinary team). The Policy Recommendation will be disseminated through the outlined channels.
- The exchange of experience and research findings during the workshops permits a revision of the policy recommendations: the validation of the recommendations ensures their practicability and the fine tuning to the affected policy areas. Continuing co-operation with the discussion partners from the workshops is planned and they will be provided with the revised policy reports.
Conference and final report
The conference will be used to present and discuss the results of the project with stakeholders and academic peers. All project results will be presented in concise and reader friendly form in the final project report.
- A further major objective of this phase is the thorough and efficient dissemination of the research findings in particular from the secondary analyses, the case-studies and the user survey.
- The last step is the writing of the final report. In this the comprehensive country and European research findings are integrated and condensed and made available to the public, policy makers, the research community via the web-site.
